ABHI US Accelerator Receives Record Number of Applications


The American accelerator of the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) has received a record number of applications for its 2022 cohort and has therefore broadened its offering to accommodate more companies in the program.

Initially, the ABHI had planned to accept 30 companies into the cohort, but due to an incredibly high interest, it has expanded its admission to 40 places, which includes a diverse mix of companies in medical device, diagnostics and digital health, many of which are long-standing. permanent members of the program, and a host of new entrants.

With the program starting in January, US accelerator ABHI is supporting UK healthcare technology companies looking to enter and grow in the US healthcare market. Over the next 12 months, ABHI will work with businesses to provide tailor-made support to identify and fill gaps in needs and set individual goals to support business growth. Companies will also benefit from access to an extensive network of market experts.

Companies participating in the program will benefit from exclusive week-long trade missions to the United States, which will provide them with privileged opportunities to engage with key stakeholders for their business objectives. These missions will see a series of meetings with top executives, clinicians and world-class hospital systems supply teams, giving them the opportunity to present proven UK healthcare technologies to new customers.
